Don't forget about the outside.  You need curb appeal first and foremost!  Research shows that almost 85% of buyers do a "drive by" first.  This means they get the address and drive by the home to see the neighborhood and the exterior of the home.  You do not want to lose a prospective buyer before they ever step foot in your home!  You need to make them want to come back for a showing.
